Incredible news from NCTE: Language Arts Department of Southwest Missouri has been named one of nineteen recipients of the 2020 Kent D. Williamson Affiliate Membership Recruitment Award given by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) for increasing our membership over the last year.The award winners will be announced at the 2020 NCTE Annual Convention, which will be going virtual this year, during the Affiliate Roundtable Breakfast on Sunday, November 22.
LAD Members:
After much discussion and thoughtful consideration, the LAD Executive Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel all LAD Events for this year to do our part to ensure the health and safety of our members, their families, and the local community. We are disheartened for teachers and their students to miss out after all of their hard work, but your health is more important.
Membership fees for the 2019-2020 school year will be rolled ahead to the 2020-2021 school year. If you do not plan to enter next year, you may request a refund, but please consider making a charitable donation to LAD Fair instead.
We look forward to seeing you all back next year.
LAD Sorting and Judging have been relocated back to Willard High School for this year. Please stay connected to your email and social media over the next few weeks in case we have other changes or announcements about LAD events.
